Rodrigo Bentancur's Condition After Collapsing In Leicester Vs Tottenham Match
JAKARTA - Rodrigo Bentancur collapsed after colliding with Abdul Fatawu in the Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur match, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, early morning WIB.
Bentacur was unconscious after the aerial duel in the 76th minute. The Uruguayan midfielder was forced to get oxygen shortly after referee Christopher Kavanagh asked the medical team for help.
The audience at the King Power Stadium, Leicester home, was silent when Bentancur received treatment in the opening week of the 2024/2025 Premier League.
Blood also flows in the head of Bentancur. Luckily, shortly after receiving treatment, he regained consciousness.
The 27, then carried on a stretcher while being given oxygen to help his breathing.

Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou, reported the current condition of Bentancur. He said the player was fine.
"We have to be very careful. The good news is that he is up and talking. We will let the medical team take care of him."
"I don't have much information, but I know he's already up and communicating so he's fine from that point of view," Postecoglou said as reported by The Sun.
However, Pestocoglou still worries about the player.
"However, it is clear that it was a head injury. I will hand it over to the medical team now. The most important thing is that he is completely conscious and communicative."
"Every time a head injury occurs and you see a player falling, I think at this point we are always careful, I don't know the real situation, but I know it was a head impact," said the manager again.
The King Power Stadium already has bad memories for the Spurs mainstay player.
Bentancur suffered anterior cruciatum ligament injury there in February 2023, which ruled him out for eight months.
