ASN-Hankam Flats In IKN Targeted To Be Completed By The End Of 2024, These Are Available Facilities

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) targets the construction of 47 flat towers (Rusun) for ASN-Hankam to be completed in December 2024.

However, in addition to completing the project, the Ministry of PUPR also encourages various social facilities to be presented so that the state servants can live comfortably.

The Director General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto, said that initially the ASN-Hankam Flat was targeted for full functionality this year. However, he said, his party was not only tasked with completing the infrastructure, but also designing various places for social facilities that could support the lives of ASN-Hankam.

"We at the Housing Directorate General do not have a story, it only builds physical. You can see that it is also complete with furniture, including we build an ecosystem below it. There is a crowd (population) that the President (Jokowi) hopes for, such as Indomaret, Paud and all kinds of things," said Iwan when met after the Merdeka Festival at the PUPR Ministry Park, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 20.

Although the authority to ensure the presence of various social facilities is OIKN's responsibility, Iwan said that his party had designed the concept of social facilities in the ASN-Hankam Flats. According to him, there will be five to eight towers which will later be arranged to have Indomaret and other retail stores.

In addition, the PUPR Ministry has also designed places for various other facilities, such as residents' halls, coffeeshops, barbershops to places for burial of corpses. Later, said Iwan, his party will also arrange so that retail stores in the ASN-Hankam Flats do not accumulate.

"We also have detailed procedures not to pile up. In one area, we apologize, right, maybe just one or two (retail shops). Then, there is a barbershop there, a restaurant for a place to eat, we distribute it. So, the area is really compact," said Iwan.

According to Iwan, one of the evidences of the need for social facilities was seen when 12 towers of ASN-Hankam Flats were functionalized during the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at IKN. At that time, a number of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) such as BNI and PT Pos made cafes that were crowded with visitors.

Then, there is Indomaret which is also crowded with invited guests and Paskibraka officers to buy daily necessities.

This, continued Iwan, is a small proof of the Ministry of PUPR's efforts to carry out President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) order that the ASN-Hankam Flats not only become beds, but also become proper housing.

"Well, it means that we have to build this crowd. My hope is that it is physically our responsibility. But, earlier it was also a matter of life, stomach, haircut, need reflection, karaoke, we prepared it. So, a fun place," he concluded.
