Polda Metro Stops Investigation Of NIK Profiting Case Support Dharma-Kun
Polda Metro Jaya has stopped investigating the alleged profiteering of the population identification number (NIK) for the purposes of registering an independent candidate, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) contestation.
The profiteering case was known to have been reported by Samson to Polda Metro Jaya. This report is registered with the number LP/B/4830/VIII/2024/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated August 16, 2024.
Director of the Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, said that the termination of the handling of the case was based on the results of a case conducted on Monday, August 19.
"The title forum agreed to stop the investigation into the handling of the a quo case," Ade told VOI, Monday, August 19.
The reason for the termination was because the law enforcement process on the alleged criminal act that was reported had to be processed specifically or apply the 'Lex Consumte' principle.

This is also specifically regulated in Article 185 A of Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 10, 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law number 1 of 2015 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law number 1 of 2014 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors into Law.
