Enlarging Cuan Potential, INET Gandeng Backbone Surge Jangkau 12 Million Houses In West Java

JAKARTA - PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET) has announced new strategic steps by using backbone infrastructure from PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk or Surge (WIFI) to expand their marketing reach in the West Java region. This step demonstrates INET's commitment to providing faster and more reliable internet services to one of the most dynamic markets in Indonesia.

The President Director of INET, Muhammad Arif, explained that West Java is a very important region for us, with a large market potential and an increasing population.

"By utilizing Surge infrastructure, we are trying to provide better connectivity and support digital penetration in this area. We want to ensure that every individual and business in West Java can benefit from high-quality internet networks," he explained in a written statement, Monday, August 19.

West Java is the most populous province in Indonesia, with a population of around 49.3 million people according to the latest data. Of this number, it is estimated that more than 12 million households are in this region. However, only about 60 percent of these households are already connected to adequate internet services, leaving a great opportunity for internet service providers to expand their market.

Seeing the increasing growth in internet penetration, INET plans to take advantage of this void and introduce high-speed internet solutions to other internet providers. By filling this gap, INET hopes to reach more unconnected households, as well as improve service quality for those who are already connected.

Surge (WIFI) itself has a back-bone fiber optic infrastructure installed on Java Island of 75,000KM and includes 140 million residents on the island of Java and allows INET to reach various cities and villages in West Java, including areas that were previously difficult to reach by internet services. With a wider network, INET can improve service quality and offer various internet packages that suit customer needs.

"This initiative is not only about expanding our network, but also about building a more inclusive and sustainable digital future. We believe that with better connectivity, we can support local economic growth and provide wider access to society," said Muhammad Arif.

With improved connectivity and internet access, it is hoped that it can encourage economic development in West Java, both through increasing business productivity as well as facilitating access to information and digital services for the public. INET sees this unexplored market potential as a great opportunity to increase penetration and wider digital services.
