Beware Of Bad Weather! Java Island, Beware Of Heavy Rain With Strong Winds
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most parts of Java Island have the potential to experience heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds today, Friday, March 26. Namely Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java.
BMKG estimates, areas that also have the potential to experience heavy rain with lightning or strong winds are Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, and Lampung.
In addition, the same condition is also predicted to occur in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua and Papua.
BMKG also warned that several areas could experience the impact of heavy rains from today to Saturday, March 27, tomorrow morning with the alert category given to Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Jambi, South Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, DI. Yogyakarta, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara and North Kalimantan.

BMKG said that the cyclonic circulation in the Karimata Strait and the Pacific Ocean in northern Papua forms a convergence or wind speed meeting area. This condition extends from North Kalimantan to West Kalimantan, from the Malay Peninsula to West Sumatra, from the Sulawesi Sea to Central Sulawesi, and northern Papua to the northern waters of Halmahera.
