List Of Golkar Candidates, Bahlil Lahadalia Claims To Be Ready To Replace Airlangga

JAKARTA - Golkar cadre and ESDM Minister, Bahlil Lahadalia, will register as a candidate for chairman of the Golkar Party to the XI National Conference Election Committee at the Golkar Party DPP tonight.

Bahlil admitted that he was ready to become the chairman of Golkar for the period 2024-2029 replacing Airlangga Hartarto, who resigned some time ago.

"I'll register it at 7 o'clock. Yes, when it's forward, God willing, it's ready. If you go forward, you're not ready, don't go forward," said Bahlil in Jakarta, Monday, August 19.

Bahlil said there was no preparation to register as a Golkar caketum. According to him, it's a normal thing for him to compete.

"Nothing, we're used to competition, just fight and fight ordinary competitions. We're used to it, the OSI chairman has already fought, from the first class chairman, the HIPMI chairman, or all the positions that I have, thank God, I'm doing this with the process," he said.

However, Bahlil was reluctant to respond to reports that he would be the sole candidate for Golkar. He said it was the domain of the organizing committee.

"Asking SC, I can't say that, I'm a competition participant, it's not me who organizes the competition," said Bahlil.
