KPK Chairman Nawawi Never Absent Asking For Harun Masiku's Search To Investigators
JAKARTA - The interim chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nawawi Pomolango said he was never absent from asking investigators about his fugitive, Harun Masiku. He wants the briber, former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan, to be arrested immediately.
Nawawi revealed that he often asked about the progress of the search to one of the investigators on duty, namely Rossa Purbo Bekti.
"Mas Rossa and I ask almost every time I ask," Nawawi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Saturday, August 17.
He said he always reminded investigators to immediately complete their work. "I said, your job, bro, I ask you to arrest Harun Masiku," he said.
"That's what I put emphasis on him (the investigator team, ed)," continued Nawawi.
Nawawi said his subordinates would definitely complete the search. The proof is that the search is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, when asked about Harun's whereabouts, Nawawi did not want to talk much. The claim is that investigators only inform that the search process is still ongoing.
"He only told us that he kept trying to arrest Harun Masiku," he said briefly.
As previously reported, Harun Masiku has now been a fugitive for four years or since 2020. This escape was carried out after being named a suspect in the bribery of former KPU Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan to serve as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives through the interim replacement mechanism (PAW).
As for this case, the anti-corruption commission asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to prevent five people from leaving the country. One of them is the staff of the Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto, Kusnadi.
