Jusuf Kalla Calls Kerinci Hydropower Plant Will Operate 2025

He explained that the hydroelectric power plant project, which was founded on March 28, 2012, has a electricity value capacity of 350 megawatts. The project area extends as far as 377 kilometers from Bayur Port, and 400 kilometers from Jambi Bay, and 400 kilometers from Jambi. Furthermore, he said the project utilizes the discharge of Merangin River and Lake Kerinci which has a water catch area of 1,353 square kilometers from the river base. Furthermore, between Lake Kerinci and the dam located in the trapping area has an area of 393 square kilometers.

The hydropower plant will be equipped with four generating units, consisting of a turbine with a capacity of 87.5 megawatt type vertical francis turbine, 103 mega volt ampere generator (MVA), and 110 MVA playing transformer 16.5/150 kilovolt..
