Megawati Conveys 5 Meanings Of Independence At The 79th Anniversary Ceremony Of The Republic Of Indonesia
Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri became the supervisor of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony in the At-Taufiq Mosque courtyard located in front of the PDIP DPP Party School on Jalan Lenteng Agung Raya, South Jakarta.
In reading the ceremonial mandate, Megawati conveyed 5 messages of proclamation of independence for the entire community. First, Megawati asked that all conceptions, thoughts, ideals, enthusiasm, and struggles for Indonesian independence can be understood by all Indonesian people.
"All of them contain noble ideals for the realization of Indonesia Raya," said Megawati, Saturday, August 17.
Second, Megawati asked for the value of Pancasila to be moved by all the philosophy of her birth, June 1, 1945. And, make Pancasila a guide for the life and soul of the nation. President Soekarno's daughter reviewed the song Indonesia Raya. Where, there are noble values in realizing an independent Indonesia.
"I give instructions, if there is a flag ceremony, then Indonesia Raya may only have one stanza. But if we don't raise the flag, we will sing the whole of Indonesia Raya, namely 3 stanza," said Megawati.
Third, continued Megawati, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia needs to be carried out as straight as possible. Fourth, build optimism for justice and prosperity will continue to be present as long as we fight hard for the interests of the people, nation and state.
Finally, Megawati invites all levels of the nation to prepare for the future of the nation by educating the younger generation to have a cultured character.
"Fifth, we prepare Indonesia's future by galvanizing Indonesian youths to become qualified and cultural leaders of the nation," explained Megawati.

Megawati stated that the proclamation contains a very important message of struggle, in which every sovereign citizen determines the fate of the nation and the fate of the homeland in his own hands.
