French Jet Train Pilot Who Crashed In Mediterranean Sea Dies

JAKARTA - A pilot was killed after the Fouga Magister jet he flew during an aerial show in Lavandou, southern France, crashed into the Mediterranean Sea.

The pilot's body has been found, said local authorities in charge of the Var region in southern France.

French authorities say investigations are underway to determine the cause of the training jet crash.

The air show is part of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing of Allied troops in Provance.

The air show also involved the French Air Force's 'Patrouille de France' aerobatic team, which decided to cancel the demonstration at the event due to the accident.

The accident came just two days after two French military jets collided in eastern France, killing two military personnel and leaving the only survivors.
