Epic Games Store Now Available On IPhone, Can Download Fortnite

JAKARTA Apple does not allow sideloads or downloads of applications from outside the App Store on the iPhone. However, once sideload systems are allowed in the European Union (UE), Epic Games seeks to present its app store. After being approved last July, Epic Games Store was finally launched on the iPhone for users on the EU. To download Epic app stores, users only need to open the Epic Games Store website and click the Install button on the iPhone. There are many games that can be downloaded on Epic Games Stores such as Rocket League Sideswipe, Fall Guys, and most importantly is Fortnite. This game is finally back on the iPhone even though only users in the EU can download it. Epic Games says that its app store successfully launched to iOS devices thanks to EU government assistance. With the creation of the Digital Market Law (DMA), Apple is required to allow sideload systems across its devices. "We launched it on iOS devices in the European Union thanks to the Digital Market Act, but Apple still blocks all other iOS users outside Europe to access Fortnite and Epic Games Store for iOS," explained Epic Games.

Selain meluncurkan Epic Games Store di iOS, toko aplikasi itu juga dirilis di perangkat Android. Tidak seperti iOS, toko aplikasi ini bisa diunduh dengan mudah di Android dan tersedia di hampir seluruh negara karena Google mengizinkan sistem sideload. Perusahaan pengembang game itu menyadari bahwa pemasangan Epic Games Store di iOS, termasuk Android, masih berjalan lambat. Kualitas yang buruk ini terjadi karena perbuatan Apple dan Google, menurut Epic Games. "Apple dan Google sengaja memperkenalkan pengalaman pemasangan berkualitas buruk yang sarat dengan banyak langkah," kata Epic. "Kami terus berjuang di pengadilan dan bekerja sama dengan regulator di seluruh dunia untuk menghapus ketentuan anti persaingan."
