Office Searched, Acting Governor Of East Java Affirms Ready To Help KPK Related To The Corruption Case Of Grant Funds
The Acting Governor of East Java, Adhy Karyono, emphasized that his party is ready to assist the KPK to provide the necessary data related to the investigation of alleged corruption in the management of grant funds for community groups (pokmas) from the 2019-2022 budget year APBD.
Adhy emphasized that his party participated in all processes, including those carried out by the KPK at the Regional Secretariat (Setda) office of East Java Province.
"Yes, we just follow the process, it's part of looking for data. This is the Regional Secretary and the head of the bureau (Kesra) helping all the data and information needed by the KPK for smooth investigations and so on," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 16.
Adhy Karyono admitted that he did not know exactly what year the KPK investigators were looking for.
"I don't know yet, there is no report yet," he said.
In addition, Adhy stated that he also did not know what was secured by the KPK. He also stated that he had not communicated with the Head of the East Java Provincial Welfare Bureau.
Regarding the investigators who secured a suitcase during the search, Adhy also admitted that he did not know for sure.
"I don't know yet. What is clear is that there was a search report earlier, looking for the document data needed to complete the investigation," he said.
Previously, KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika confirmed that his party had searched the East Java Provincial Government's office regarding the investigation into alleged corruption in the bribery in the management of the Pokmas grant funds from the East Java Province (APBD) in the 2019-2022 fiscal year.
"It's true, there was a search activity for the KPK in the East Java Provincial Government regarding the grant fund case," said Tessa.
