Sri Mulyani Disburses IDR 421 Trillion For Energy Resilience Budget
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati reported in the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN) that the government disbursed a budget of IDR 421 trillion as an energy security budget.
"This energy resilience is also important for the elected president where this budget is to increase subsidized affordability," Sri Mulyani said at the 2025 RAPBN Press Conference at the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), Jakarta, Friday, August 16.
Sri Mulyani said, in order to support previous energy security, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) asked for a cost recovery in Government Regulation aka Government Regulation Number 27 of 2017 to be changed to PP Number 53 of 2017 with the Gross Split scheme. Meanwhile, the gross split scheme and the tax regime were also changed.
Sri Mulyani said the change was a form of commitment from the ministry in the economy to hear and coordinate with the technical ministry in encouraging fiscal instruments so that they could work properly.
The Ministry of Finance noted that oil and gas lifting each reached the 2024 State Budget, which was set at 635,000 barrels per day (BOEPD) and 1,033 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD).

Meanwhile, in the 2025 RAPBN, it is targeted that oil and gas lifting will decrease to 600,000 BOPD and 1,005 million BOEPD, respectively.
Then for subsidies and compensation, the government has budgeted IDR 525 trillion for subsidies and 2025 compensation for both energy and non-energy.
