Muhaimin: Special Committee For Hajj 2024 Starting Next Monday's Work Next Week
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin said the 2024 Hajj Special Committee (Pansus) will start working on Monday (19/8) next week.
"God willing, on Monday the Hajj Special Committee will start working," said Cak Imin as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 16.
Cak Imin then mentioned that the 2024 Hajj Anggat Special Committee was a monumental special committee that was rolled out by the DPR.
"Every Mbak Puan's speech (Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani) always raises this, there have been two speeches because it is the most monumental product," he said.
The 2024 Hajj Questionnaire Special Committee was formed by the DPR, he said, in order to carry out the supervisory function of government policies in organizing Hajj.
"This is the special committee for the pride of the DPR because this is the first time there is an inquiry that is the right to control the DPR," he said.
Previously, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that the 2024 Hajj Supervision Special Committee would start working during the next trial period or after August 16, 2024 because it was in recess since July 11, 2024.
"Yesterday, because I had a recess, it hasn't worked yet," said Dasco.

Sufmi Dasco said the special committee worked during the next session based on the Leadership Meeting (Rapim) and the DPR RI Deliberative Body Meeting (Bamus).
On Tuesday (30/7), Deputy Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid considered the accusation that the formation of the 2024 Hajj Special Committee (Pansus) in the context of personal matters harassed the constitution.
"So, the accusations for personal interests, in my opinion, are accusations that insult the plenary decision, the right of inquiry," said Gus Jazil, his nickname, at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday.
Gus Jazil emphasized that the formation of the Hajj Anggat Special Committee was based on an official decision in a plenary meeting approved by all factions in the DPR.
