Jokowi Not Alluding To Prabowo's Free Nutrition Food Budget, Minister Suharso: Entering, Nothing Is Passed

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mentioned the free nutritious food program (MBG) which will be implemented starting next year. However, Jokowi did not mention the amount of the budget in the introductory speech of the 2024 State Budget Draft Law (RUU) and Financial Notes.

Even so, the Minister of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas), Suharso Monoarfa ensured that the free nutritious food budget would still be included in the posture of the 2025 State Budget.

"Yes, it's still there," said Suharso after the event to deliver government information on the 2025 State Budget Bill and Financial Notes, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, August 16.

Suharso revealed that all programs and work plans for the elected presidential government, Prabowo Subianto, have been included in the use of the 2025 State Budget funds.

"So, everything in our government's work plan is integrated with all programs from the elected president," he said.

Suharso ensured that there was no priority Prabowo-Gibran program not included in the 2025 State Budget. Including the MBG program or free lunch.

As is known, previously it was reported that Prabowo-Gibran's free nutritious food budget allocation was set at IDR 71 trillion.

"We have done this before, nothing has been missed, including free nutritious food," he explained.
