Minister Of Manpower Ida Fauziyah: The Amount Of The 2025 UMP Will Be Announced In November 2024

JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziah said the amount of the provincial minimum wage (UMP) in 2025 will be announced during the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration period.

"The UMP will be discussed later, maybe not during my administration, of course, during the new administration," said Ida when met after the 2024 MPR Annual Session and the DPR-DPD RI Joint Session, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Friday, August 16.

Furthermore, Ida said that the announcement of the 2024 UMP will usually be announced in November.

"It's usually announced in November. Yes, definitely (announced when entering the Prabowo-Gibran government)," he said.

Ida said considering the remaining time of his term of office which will end in October 2024, the UMP discussion was carried out in the early days of the Prabowo-Gibran administration.

So far, continued Ida, there has been no discussion of the amount of the 2025 UMP with the Prabowo-Gibran government ransom team. He said there had been no discussion because it was still in August.

"No, not yet. Not yet. In terms of the UMP discussion cycle, it's not yet time. It's still August," he explained.
