President Jokowi Thanks The People For Passing 10 Years Strongly
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian people who have jointly crossed the challenges and changes over the past 10 years.This was conveyed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI in 2024 at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta."To all Indonesian people wherever they are, who have been strong for 10 years together across challenges after challenges, taking steps by steps, and facing changes for change, so that we as a great nation can reach this point," Jokowi said, as reported by Antara, Friday, August 16.President Jokowi in his speech said that in 2024 he was the tenth year of his tenure as President of the Republic of Indonesia.This same year, KH. Ma'ruf Amin even served his fifth year as Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. The President considers the position a big responsibility and trust that was never imagined before."A mandate and a big mandate that we have never thought about before," said President Jokowi.The Head of State revealed that from the first day of receiving the mandate, the President realized that there would be many waves to face and many challenges to be resolved. However, the President believes that he will not go through these challenges alone. Prayers and support from the community are the ones who strengthen the President in facing these waves and challenges."There are aspirations and hopes of the community. There is support and prayers from the people who always accompany and strengthen. Smiles, greetings, and prayers, Mr., Mrs., and brothers throughout the country are the source of my strength," said the President.The 2024 Annual Session was held with the theme "Nusantara Baru, Indonesia Maju" consisting of the Annual Session of the MPR RI, the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI, and the Plenary Session of the Opening Session I of the DPR for the 2024-2025 Session Year.In the Annual Session of the MPR RI-Sidang Bersama DPR RI and DPD RI, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also submitted a report on the performance of state institutions, as well as state speeches in the context of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
After the MPR Annual Session and Joint Session, the event will continue at 13.30 WIB to hold the DPR RI Plenary Session on the 2025 RAPBN.
