Democrats Leadership Moeldoko Apologizes For The Noise Made By SBY And AHY
JAKARTA - The Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Democratic Party led by Moeldoko, apologized to the Indonesian people and the Joko Widodo Government for the noise and unrest related to the internal polemic of the party bearing the Mercy Star logo.
The commotion was related to statements made by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).
According to Moeldoko's spokesperson for the Democrat Party, Muhammad Rahmad, SBY and AHY, through their mouthpieces, have built a misleading narrative. Among other things, accusing President Jokowi's government or the palace of being involved in the Sibolangit Extraordinary Congress (KLB), Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
"Accusing Mr. Moeldoko of buying the Democrat Party, so SBY said in his statement that the Democratic Party is Not For Sale," said Rahmad at a press conference in Hambalang, Bogor, Thursday, March 25.
Apart from that, he continued, SBY and AHY also accused the coup against the party by outsiders and other completely baseless accusations.
"SBY and AHY have also played the playing victim, as if they were the ones who were tyrannized and imagined to the wider community that democrats and democracy must be saved," he said.
SBY and AHY have also committed brutal acts against cadres of the Democratic Party in Regencies / Cities and Provinces throughout Indonesia by forcing cadres to sign a statement letter accompanied by threats of threats and / or dismissal.
"These irresponsible statements and methods have caused uproar and unrest in the midst of society, when we and the government of President Jokowi are serious in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic and are trying to rebuild the joints of the national economy," Rahmad.
