Luhut Ensures Revision Of Perpes 191 Completed Before Prabowo Inaugurated As President
Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan ensured that the revision of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 191 of 2014 regarding the Provision, Distribution and Retail Selling Price of Oil fuels will be completed before the new government.
"We will try to solve everything before the next government because I think it is important because it was related to air quality," said Luhut to the media crew when met at JCC, Wednesday, August 14.
According to him, the limitation on the purchase of subsidized fuel is also in line with the government's steps to improve air quality in Indonesia by presenting low-hythoon environmentally friendly fuel.
Luhut said that his party will hold a meeting related to the lethal injection of the Suralaya PLTU which is considered to have contributed to air pollution for 40 years. In addition, the government will gradually intensify the use of electric vehicles (EVs)
In the near future, said Luhut, the government will also bring in 5,000 electric buses that will replace fossil fuel buses that are currently still paving.
