Pelindo Regional 3 Capai 202.2 Million GT Ship Flow In Semester I 2024

JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 Group recorded ship currents in the first semester of 2024 reaching 202.2 million gross tonnage (GT) in order to exceed the target of the Company's Plan and Budget (RKAP) and grow by 109 percent year on year.

Senior Manager of Legal and Public Relations of Pelindo Regional 3 Karlinda Sari said the volume of loading and unloading containers also increased, namely 2.9 million TEUs due to a larger ship visit that exceeded the RKAP target of 106 percent.

"This container loading and unloading volume grew 108 percent compared to the same period the previous year," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 14.

Karlinda said that the flow of passengers also experienced a significant increase, reaching 2.8 million people or the equivalent of 122 percent of the RKAP target and growing 124 percent on an annual basis.

In detail, the flow of passengers includes the flow of international passengers reaching 177,000 people and the domestic number of 2.7 million people.

This positive performance, he said, cannot be separated from the support of all parties to stakeholders and the use of services.

"Good trust and collaboration are the keys to our success in improving the company's performance," he said.

Not only that, this performance growth also encourages an increase in income from various sources, including ship service income, container service, non-packaged equipment services and equipment entrepreneurship.

In fact, continued Karlinda, this solid operational performance prompted Pelindo Regional 3 Group to record a net profit of Rp357 billion in the first half of this year, an increase of 22.24 percent compared to the same period last year.

Currently, his party is focused on ensuring that the company's positive performance can be maintained until the end of 2024.

"We are committed to continuing to provide the best service and be a trusted partner for all stakeholders," said Karlinda.
