London Police Brush Out Wild Races For Luxury Car Gangs, 60 Supercars Confiscated By Ferrari To Rolls-Royce

JAKARTA In a massive operation that took place from August 2 to 11, the London Police, England managed to confiscate more than 60 supercars and other luxury vehicles with a total value of around Rp120 billion. The vehicles come from well-known brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, and Bentley.

Launching Road&Track, August 14, this operation was carried out after a number of Westminster residents complained about the behavior of supercar drivers who used the area as a wild racing circuit. The high speed and noise produced by these vehicles interfere with the peace of the residents.

As a result, five people were also arrested for various traffic violations, including insurance fraud, not wearing seat belts, driving without attention, and using cell phones while driving.

"This very successful operation proves that we are serious about dealing with crimes such as anti-social driving that is very disturbing to residents and tourists," said Special Inspector of the Metropolitan Police, Geoff Tatman.

Several confiscated vehicles including the Ferrari PurOSangue SUV with the V12 engine and Lamborghini Manage Performante. The police also released photos of Rolls-Royce and Range Rover Evoque which were also secured.

With this result, it is hoped that luxury vehicle owners in the UK will be more careful when driving in the Westminster area.
