Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister: Retaliatory Against Israel's Crime Is Absolute

JAKARTA - Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Studies and Research Mohammad Hasan Sheikholeslami said Iran's retaliation for brutal crimes committed by Israel was something that would absolutely be committed.

"Our response and our retaliation for the brutal crimes committed by the zionist regime are absolute and definite," Sheikholeslami said at a media briefing at the residence of the Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 13.

He said the retaliation would definitely happen. However, the means, time and location related to the retaliation will be decided by Iran's top officials based on the interests of the country.

According to him, the retaliatory action will be a major blow to Israel and will be carried out to increase defense and protection against Iran's security.

Israel's killing of the Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian Hamas Movement Ismail Haniyeh in the capital Tehran, he said, has made people in the country sad and furious.

For the acts of terror carried out by Israel, the Iranian people expressed demands that the government take firm action against the incident.

Meanwhile, regarding the possible infiltration by the Israeli Mossad group regarding the murder of Ismail Haniyeh, Sheikholeslami said that various relevant institutions in Iran were conducting research and deepening.

"And to give you a definite and precise answer, we all have to wait for the results of the report issued on the ongoing research," he said.

Sheikholeslami reiterated his belief that Israel was fully responsible for the terror act and the US was also considered responsible for being Israel's main supporter.

"Israeli zionist regime is 100 percent responsible for this terror, and the United States must take responsibility because it is the country that is the main supporter of the Israeli zionist regime," he said.
