DLH Fires PJLP Officers Who Trick Residents Lure Job Vacancies

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Environment Agency (DLH) has fired officers from Individual Other Service Providers (PJLP) at the Water Agency Waste Management Unit (UPS BA) for allegedly defrauding residents related to job vacancies.

"We appreciate the report given. This proves that the community has an important role in helping us carry out our supervisory function," said DKI Jakarta DLH Public Relations Officer Yogi Ikhwan as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 13.

According to him, UPS BA has followed up on public reports regarding alleged fraud involving one of the PJLPs.

This case first emerged through videos uploaded on social media, namely UPS BA officers allegedly asking the reporter for some money with the lure of recruiting in March 2023.

Meanwhile, UPS BA Head Dadang Cahya Rusdiana, explained that his party had asked for information from the officer concerned regarding the action.

"The officer has been questioned for his actions. The person concerned has admitted his guilt. As a consequence, we have imposed a firm sentence in the form of a termination of employment (SPHK)," he said.

Dadang emphasized that this firm action was taken as an effort to ensure that all PJLP in the UPS BA environment comply with the applicable rules and become an important lesson so that similar incidents do not happen again.

"We hope that all UPS BA officers can work professionally and with high integrity, and uphold ethics in carrying out their duties," he said.
