Indonesian Representatives Will Appear At The Japan Open 2024
JAKARTA Indonesia has 12 representatives who are currently included in the draw list to appear at the Japan Open 2024 next week.
The Super 750 BWF level tournament is scheduled to take place on August 20-25, 2024 at the Yokohama Stadium, Kanagawa, Japan. In the latest three editions, Indonesia will not be held there.
In the temporary draw list on the BWF website, Indonesia did not send representatives from the women's doubles sector. Meanwhile, the men's doubles is the number with the most representatives.
A total of five couples filled the men's doubles sector. That includes the pair Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin.

While in the previous composition, Leo was paired with Daniel and Bagas with Fikri. This reshuffle was carried out in the hope of improving achievements and refreshment.
The other three men's doubles pairs that have been drawn are Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
Following in second place is the men's singles. This number sends as many as three representatives, namely Jonatan Christie, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.
The other two numbers, namely mixed doubles and women's singles, each sent two representatives. In the women's singles there are Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo.
Then in the mixed doubles, the two existing couples are Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati Dejan and Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.
Indonesia last won a title at the Japan Open in 2019. At that time, the pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon took home the title.
