Serve Electric Vehicles During The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia At IKN, PLN Alert 18 SPKLU Units

PT PLN (Persero) has alerted 18 units of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) to support the use of electric vehicles on the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in the State Capital (IKN) Nusantara.

"PLN is committed to supporting efforts to create IKN as a smart, green, and beauty city by relying on new and renewable energy. We make sure all SPKLU units and PLN officers are ready to support smooth activities during the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day on August 17, 2024," said PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo, Tuesday, August 13.

Darmawan added, in the future PLN is ready to strengthen the support of electric vehicle infrastructure for mobility in IKN and make a futuristic capital city with a smart, green, and beauty forest city.

General Manager of PLN Main Distribution Unit of East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan Agung Murdifi said that 18 PLN SPKLUs are available at 3 location points in both the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) and among them are the Ministry of State Secretariat Office, Batakan Stadium and Humbung Substation (GH) while PLN.

"Alhamdulillah, now 18 PLN SPKLUs are ready to operate to serve the use of electric vehicles during the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at IKN. The service is also integrated into the PLN Mobile application", explained Agung.

As for the SPKLU unit provided by PLN, there are 8 units of SPKLU Ultra Fast Charging, 4 units of SPKLU Fast Charging and 3 units of SPKLU Medium Charging.

In addition, PLN also provides 3 units of SPKLU for 2-wheeled vehicles.

"The SPKLU will later serve electric vehicles used by state officials, security officers to operational vehicles during the celebration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at IKN," concluded Agung.
