Ahead Of The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia, PGN Distributes Natural Gas At IKN

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) ensures that natural gas has flowed and is ready to be used in IKN ahead of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (RI).

PGN provides natural gas at IKN using a combination of services with the beyond pipeline mode in the form of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

At this stage, CNG is transported using a cylinder tube mode or called Gaslink Cylinder. As for Gaslink Cylinder provided at IKN, there are two types, namely Gaslink Cylinder with a capacity of 24 m3 per tube and 4 m3 per cylinder/ mini Gaslink Cylinder.

PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman said on Sunday, August 11, the 105 landed house of ministerial office (RTJM) had been installed by Gaslink Cylinder and had gradually flowed the first gas.

Gaslink Cylinder installed in RTJM a total of 12 units spread across 8 plots. In addition to RTJM, gaslink cylinders have also been installed in the state palace, garuda palace, presidential secretariat office, ASN 4 Tower B and C, ASN 1 Tower B and Tower C, BIN flats, POLRI flats, paspampes tower, nasantara homepage and Nusantara Hotel (private-owned commercial customers). The total number of installed Gaslink Cylinders reaches 34 units and is ready to serve natural gas needs at IKN.

"In order to support the distribution of natural gas in IKN, PGN also built 61.1 km of natural gas pipelines in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) Sub WP 1A," said Fajriyah, Monday, August 12.

Meanwhile, the gas supply is currently coming from Balikpapan, East Kalimantan through natural gas transportation intermodals.

Fajriyah continued, PGN continues to strive so that the development of natural gas infrastructure in IKN can run according to the target. The gas network in IKN as well as PGN is preparing to meet the needs of household customers who are projected to have 9,996 Home Connections (SR).

Fajriyah said, PGN always collaborates with the IKN Authority and other stakeholders so that the provision of natural gas at IKN can provide positive benefits and is in line with Indonesia's ideals towards Net Zero Emission in 2060.
