Ridwan Kamil Considers Airlangga's Resignation The Party's Dynamics: No Pressure
JAKARTA - Golkar politician Ridwan Kamil said that the resignation of Airlangga Hartarto as General Chair of the Golkar Party was common in the internal party.
The Golkar Party cadre also said that there was no pressure from outside parties about Airlangga's resignation.
"There is no pressure. I also listen to it like the media see. So, as stated by Pak Airlangga and that is in the dynamics of a party that is common and routine," said Ridwan Kamil after the groundbreaking event in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan, reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 12.
He also ensured that Airlangga's resignation had nothing to do with his candidacy for the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
"Nothing," he said.
RK also responded to the resignation of Golkar Party Advisory Council member Jusuf Hamka or Babah Alun from the management of the Golkar Party to the nomination of regional heads in the 2024 Pilkada.
"It's a personal resignation. There are hundreds that have been decided by organization. We are a big party, it doesn't depend on 1-2 individuals," said Ridwan Kamil.

Previously, Airlangga announced his resignation from the position of General Chair of the Golkar Party. Airlangga said the decision was taken to ensure the stability of the transition of the new government.
