PKB Mulai 'Goyah' Usung Anies Di Pilgub Jakarta, Kini Jalin Komunikasi Dengan Gerindra
JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) is starting to falter to carry Anies Baswedan in the Jakarta Pilkada. PKB is now communicating with the Gerindra Party and considering developing dynamics, including supporting Ridwan Kamil.
Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul initially commented on changes in PKS' attitude which opened the option of joining the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) and supporting Ridwan Kamil. Jazilul also gave a signal that PKB would do the same.
"I don't know, PKS has its own agenda, of course. (But) PKB considers the dynamics that develop, including when we build a commitment with the Gerindra Party. If Gerindra is okay, yes, we are okay," said Jazilul, Monday, August 12.
Jazilul revealed that the PKB DPP had submitted a proposal for the PKB DPW regarding support for Anies Baswedan as a candidate for governor in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. Later, he said, PKB and Gerindra would discuss the figure who was designated as the commitment of the two parties in cooperation in the regional elections.
"If it's PKB, it's clear that there is a proposal from the DPW, right. Yes, later, if Gerindra mentions what the candidate is, yes, as far as I know Gerindra already has a candidate, just fix it," said Jazilul.

However, the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR admitted that the discussion on PKB and Gerindra had not yet reached the discussion of the candidate pair. Including pairing Ridwan Kamil with a cagub or cawagub proposed by PKB.
"Not yet, not yet there, still more on the national level agreement with PKB, Gerindra and PKB conveyed their commitment to overseeing Pak Prabowo's government with the Gerindra Party. From the umbrella, Pilkada emerged and so on. Political moments must begin, including inter-fractional communication," explained Jazilul.
When asked about the potential for PKB to withdraw support for Anies, Jazilul emphasized that the PKB DPW proposal is now meeting a winding road.
"It's not attracting support, meaning that the proposal from the DKI PKB DPW has not been smooth. At first it was very smooth, it turned out that the weather was showing changes," he concluded.
