Visiting IKN, Coordinating Minister Luhut Makes Sure There Are No Problems About Preparation For The RI Anniversary Ceremony

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan ensured that there were no problems related to preparations for the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.

This was conveyed by Luhut after visiting IKN, East Kalimantan this weekend to directly check the readiness of IKN in organizing the RI Anniversary ceremony on August 17.

"Finally this week I went to IKN to review the readiness and preparation of infrastructure ahead of the commemoration ceremony of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia," he said, quoted from the official Instagram @luhut.pandjaitan, Sunday, August 11,

Luhut said that the majority of infrastructure development had shown significant developments. What is being prepared is the core area of the national center and the IKN airport.

"I see that the majority of infrastructure development has shown significant development. Road infrastructure and national vital objects such as the Airport and the Central Government Core Area, continue to be prepared carefully," he said.

Luhut said both of them needed to be carefully prepared because IKN would receive 2,800 guests on the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

"This is intended so that all the main elements and supporters of the event will be ready to accommodate the number of participants in the commemoration ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia. It is estimated that there will be 2,800 invited guests present at the morning and evening events," he said.

"I see the great optimism that was present enveloped the preparations for the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN as a good sign, which will bring this nation into a sustainable era of transformation towards the great ideals of the nation, an advanced and competitive Indonesia," he continued.

On the other hand, Luhut said that his visit to IKN was not only to check the readiness to hold the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony, but also to attend this year's plenary cabinet session.

"(Including) the commemoration of the Proclamation ceremony as well as attending this year's Plenary Cabinet Session which will be held in a slightly different way, namely taking place in two places, Jakarta and IKN," he explained.
