JAKARTA - People in Minang (West Sumatra) are now proud after receiving encouraging news about the election of Maulia Permata Putri, a student at SMAN 1 Solok City and Raidzaky Rafifaldrie from SMAN 1 Padang City as the 2024 National Paskibraka Team.

Even more proud, Maulia Permata Putri, a grade XI student or second class at SMAN 1 Solok City, is reportedly being trained to be the bearer of the flag balance for the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan on August 17, 2024.

Maulia's current achievements have added to the long list of young West Sumatra people who are able to compete in the national arena.

This achievement is also a matter of pride for the school. Even the Deputy Principal for Student Affairs, SMAN 1 Solok City, Dwi Suyarto, expressed his pride in Maulia, who is currently in Jakarta, is currently participating in the Paskibraka training.

Maulia is currently focusing on participating in the Paskibraka training as the flag bearer for the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony at IKN on August 17, 2024.

"Currently Maulia is participating in training in Jakarta. Hopefully, she will be able to maintain it so that she will still be elected as the flag bearer until the RI Anniversary ceremony, on August 17, 2024," he said.

Beautiful student perprestasi

The beautiful student who comes from Nagari (Village) Parambahan, Bukit Sundi District, Solok Regency, in addition to being proud in the field of Paskibraka, is also one of the smart students in his class with brilliant grades.

Meanwhile, regarding his personality at school, Maulia is known as a good student, skilled and follows school rules well.

"Maulia is also an outstanding student in her class with good and proud grades. As for extracurricular purposes, from the beginning Maulia entered school, she was more interested and focused on Paskibraka," said Dwi.

Since deciding to choose Paskibra extracurricular, Maulia has continued to train with other teams. Until finally he tried to take part in the Paskibraka recruitment for the national level in 2024.

Thanks to his persistence and seriousness, Maulia has started participating in the Paskibraka training camp since mid-July 2024.

His name is included in the 76 selected students from all over Indonesia who are the Heritage Flag Raising Troops (Paskibraka).

After this proud achievement, not only the school, even the entire West Sumatra community was very proud because one of the regional daughters managed to join the 2024 National Paskibraka Team. Moreover, he was chosen as the bearer of the flag balance on the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia later.

Paraded around Solok City

The school also performed a procession during the release of Maulia to quarantine in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/7) as a form of joy at the achievements achieved by their proud students. The procession was very lively. Maulia and a number of teachers were in the car of the Solok City Red Cross (PMI) and accompanied by all students of SMAN 1 Solok City students with their motorbikes. Some students in front of the PMI car held a stick tied with a red and white flag using a motorbike.

"On July 10, before Maulia left for Jakarta, we had performed a procession around Solok City," said Dwi.

The procession is a form of gratitude and aims to inform the entire community that there is the best daughter from SMAN 1 Solok City who passed Paskibraka at the national level.

"Once again, we from the school are very proud of the election of Maulia as a participant at the national level of Paskibraka. In fact, this is the first time from our school," he said.

The hopes of the teachers

Dwi representing the Solok City SMAN 1 teachers hopes that Maulia will open the way and encourage other students at the school to continue to achieve achievements both at the West Sumatra level and at the national level.

The school will continue to support outstanding students in the field of Paskibraka or other fields.

In addition, he also advised Maulia to continue to be enthusiastic and improve her achievements. Stay humble and willing to share your experiences later with friends at school.

Previously, West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi Ansharullah also expressed his pride for the students of SMAN 1 Solok Maulia City who were practicing as carriers of the red and white flag balance.

According to Mahyeldi, this is a matter of pride for all the people of West Sumatra. The trust given to Maulia as the bearer of the red and white flag balance shows that the quality of Human Resources (HR) from West Sumatra can compete at the national level.

The number one person in West Sumatra also hopes that the achievements achieved by Maulia and other young West Sumatra can motivate many more young people to achieve success in various fields.

In addition, four young people from West Sumatra were also selected to join the 2024 Gita Bahana Nusantara (GBN) choir team which will appear on the commemoration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at the national level on August 17, 2024.

The four young generations were respectively Muhammad Khalish Fathani (tensorship), Aqeela Ramadhani Irianto (hitting notes), Syarifa Izdihara (sotran tone), and Andika Fadhanel Putra ( bass tone).

The Governor of West Sumatra said their involvement in the GBN choir was the right moment for young West Sumatra talents to celebrate the rich culture and art of musicalization, show talent, as well as strengthen brotherhood with representatives from 38 other provinces in Indonesia.

"We hope that the great young generation who appear at the State Palace can perform optimally and participate in making West Sumatra proud in the national arena," he said.
