Honda Ye S7 Will Carry A Single Electric Motor, Here Are The Specifications

JAKARTA - In April, Honda introduced its newest electric model, Ye S7 for the Chinese market. The model is a product of a joint venture between Honda and Dongfeng. News about the specifications of this car has been leaked to the public.

CarNewsChina reported on Saturday, August 10, that the car information was leaked from documents belonging to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) which said this car had a length of 4,750 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, a height of 1,625 mm, and a wheelbase of up to 2,930 mm.

The car is rumored to be available in a 19-inch or 21-inch rim option. According to the document, the model weighs 2,175 to 2,191 kg.

The Honda Ye S7 will be available in the single electric motor variant and have the same performance as the driving variant of all wheels, which produces a peak power of up to 200 kW. Thus, the car can touch the highest speed of 180 km/hour.

It is possible that this car will use a lithium-ternary battery supplied by CATL with a capacity of 89.8 kWh to drive all wheels. Chances are, the single electric motor variant will also use the battery.

If so, it is estimated that Ye S7 can reach a distance of about 700 km based on CLTC calculations.

Different from before, the Ye S7 model will be equipped with Honda's latest badge which no longer has an outline around the H logo. The design on the headlights and back will take inspiration from elongated H letters.

To charge it, the manufacturer provides a charging port for this car on the right side of the wheel.

Single and double motorcycle version of Honda Ye S7 sales are likely to start in the next few months.

Seri Ye is one form of Honda's commitment to creating zero-emission mobility. This is in line with the company's global vision of neutralizing carbon on all product lines and production activities by 2050.

In addition, the manufacturer with the 'H' logo plans to introduce 10 EV models in China by 2027 and make electric vehicles represent 100 percent of car sales in the bamboo curtain country by 2035.
