Acting Head Of Authority: IKN City Management Controlled By Command Center

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) as well as Acting Head of the IKN Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that the management of the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) is controlled by the command center or command center.

Basuki said the concept of IKN development is a smart city.

"So, later all city management will be controlled by the command center," Basuki said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 9.

This control starts from traffic vehicles, water management, electricity, energy and others controlled by the IKN command center.

The IKN command center, said Basuki, is currently in the proof of concept stage and later the command center will be able to carry out functions such as water management, building management and smart waste management.

"The water, the electricity, everything is controlled from here (the command center) including transportation at IKN. The Minister of Transportation has also made intelligence transportation systems in IKN. We are just starting, definitely in the future it will be better," he said.

The Nusantara Command Center was built to optimize the construction of lKN as well as integration and coordination. The Nusantara Command Center is also one of the main infrastructure supporting the smart city of the archipelago.

The Command Center phase 1 has its main function in monitoring IKN development services by utilizing CCTV-based surveillance and monitoring technology, visual-based drone monitoring, and digital service integration.

The command center also plays a role in disaster mitigation and response, utilizing advanced data and technology analysis to predict and respond to natural disasters, making them an important element in smart and responsive urban planning and management.

In addition, the command center also made it easier for the IKN Authority to respond to all complaints from the public and manage information that occurred at IKN for processing.

One example is the use of the Centralized Citizen Reporting System, or information forwarded to the IKN community, such as natural disaster information that can become an emergency message to the IKN community.

Another example in urban management and planning services is the Urban Planning System.
