Victims Of Israel's Attack On Gaza Soared To 40 People
JAKARTA - The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip jumped to 40 people.
Israeli airstrikes hit houses in the Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza, killing 15 people.
In the Al-Nuseirat camp, the attack killed four people. Israeli planes also bombed houses in the heart of Gaza City in the north, killing five Palestinians.
Another air strike in the southern city of Khan Younis killed one person and injured another, according to medics.
As reported by Reuters, on the evening of Thursday, August 8, 15 Palestinians were killed and 30 others injured in Israeli bombings in two schools east of Gaza City, Civil Emergency Services said in the region.
The Israeli military said it attacked the Hamas command and control center located at the Abdel-Fattah schools Hamouda and Al-Zahra in the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City, where Hamas militants operate.
They accused Hamas of exploiting civilians and civilian property for military purposes. This allegation was denied by Hamas.

The armed wing of Hamas and Islamic Jihad said they fired anti-tank rockets and mortar bombs at Israeli forces operating in Gaza.
The Israeli military said it had attacked dozens of military targets in Gaza over the past 24 hours, including rocket launch pads.
