Government Will Re-verify Food Aid Recipients
JAKARTA - The government through the National Food Agency (Bapanas) will re-verify the recipients of the third phase of assistance. The reason is that the distribution of aid can run smoothly and on target.
Deputy for Food Availability and Stability of NFA I Gusti Ketut Astawa said verification and validation would be carried out together with the provincial and district/city food offices.
Ketut said the recipient data verification and validation mechanism was needed because data from the Beneficiary Group (KPM) could be updated due to changes in socio-economic status, location transfer, and other conditions.
"We want to ensure that this food aid reaches recipients who really need it," he said in an official statement, Thursday, August 8.
"Verification and data validation are carried out in stages, at the central level of the National Food Agency coordinating with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture as the KPM guardian, to be followed up by Bulog together with elements of regional apparatus, namely the Food Service, Bappeda, Social Service, as well as the Population and Civil Registry Service, so that this food aid is channeled properly, smoothly, and on target," continued Ketut.
For your information, the distribution of the third phase of rice food assistance begins on August 1, 2024 in several areas that have gone through the data verification and validation process.
