PPK Project At NTB Education And Culture Initials MI Becomes A Corruption Suspect For Construction Of 2 SMAN
WEST SUMBAWA - West Sumbawa District Attorney's investigators, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of physical projects in the form of the construction and rehabilitation of SMAN 1 Senuk and SMAN 2 Taliwang.The Head of the West Sumbawa District Attorney's Office, Titin Herawati Utara, revealed that the suspect in this case had the initials MI as the project commitment maker (PPK) at the NTB Education and Culture Office (Dikbud)."From the results of the exposure (case title), the investigative team named the suspect with the initials MI as the PPK project in 2021 as a suspect," Titin said in a statement received in Mataram, Antara, Thursday, August 8.The determination of MI as a suspect, he explained, was corroborated by the results of the examination of 19 witnesses and related documents."From the results of the examination, investigators concluded that there were sufficient criminal indications to strengthen the existence of corruption in the suspect MI in the construction and rehabilitation project work of SMAN 1 Seteluk and SMAN 2 Taliwang," he said.The criminal act, he said, relates to the alleged MI suspect committing an unlawful act which resulted in the emergence of state financial losses of Rp3.9 billion. Titin said the loss figure was the result of the calculation of the investigative team.Investigators have named MI as a suspect suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 jo. Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
Investigators carried out the investigation process by naming MI as a suspect based on an order from the Head of the West Sumbawa Kejari Number: PRINT-02/N.2.16/Fd.2/05/2024, dated May 20, 2024.The construction and rehabilitation project work of the two schools used the special allocation fund (DAK) of the NTB Education and Culture Office in 2021.
