Rizki Juniansyah Will Be Accompanied By His Mother When Appearing At The 2024 Olympics

JAKARTA Indonesia's flagship lifter, Rizki Juniansyah, will be accompanied by his mother, Yeni Rohaeni Duachim, when appearing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Rizki will compete in the 73 kilogram class on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 00.30 WIB. The mother also came to Paris with her brother, Riska Anjani Yasin, to accompany the athlete directly.

Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Weightlifting Association (PB PABSI), Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, explained that Rizki really needed Yeni's presence.

"We are coordinating with NOC Indonesia and CdM Anindya Bakrie to be able to bring Rizki's parents. This was immediately responded to by CdM properly. His parents' presence increased Rizki's strength," said Rosan.

Rizki's mother looks happy while visiting her son who is staying at Athlete Village. He came with a bag containing Rizki's favorite food.

"Yes, this is food for Rizki so that he is healthy. He likes rendang, chicken suwir, and potato fried sambal," said Yeni.

Rizki will be Indonesia's mainstay to win a gold medal. Weightlifting is one of Indonesia's biggest hopes today.

Yeni also asked for prayers from the Indonesian people so that Rizki would be prime and could complete his duties well during the match.

"Of course I'm also nervous. I ordered Rizki, number one to be given health, strength, and smoothness of everything," said Yeni.

Rizki is very close to his mother. The lifter even has a habit of glorifying his mother in various ways, such as the ritual of washing his mother's feet and drinking the water.

Like when participating in the IWF World Cup 2024 championship in Thailand, Rizki washed his mother's feet and drank the water. Rizki admitted that he always felt his own strength when doing this.

"Before participating in the championship, I usually wash my mother's hands and feet with water and then I drink water," said Rizki some time ago.
