Paris 2024 Olympic Tracks Made From Shell Shell Shells, Claimed To Be 2% Faster Than Tokyo 2020

JAKARTA - At the 2024 Paris Olympics, the striking purple athletic track at the Stade de France caught the attention of many people. This trajectory is not only different in terms of color, but also in terms of speed and technological innovation used.

This trajectory is made of a mixed shell shell that is destroyed and equipped with an airbag system designed using a computer algorithm. The Italian company, Mondo, which built this track, claims that the Paris 2024 trajectory can be up to 2% faster than the Tokyo 2020 trajectory.

Below the purple surface of the track, there is a structure with an elliptical air bag designed to provide more energy at each athlete's steps. This technology provides a softer and more efficient surface in returning energy to athletes, thus helping them run faster without injury.

This trajectory uses three different colors: bright lavender for the main track, dark purple for the service area, and gray for the outer arch. In fact, the glue used to attach material to the ground is also purple.

In the environmentally friendly aspect, this trajectory is mostly made of bivalvia shells such as shells andmissions that are converted into powder. Mondo partners with the shell cultivation company, Nieddittas, to utilize shells that are usually dumped into landfills.

With an investment of between 2-3 million euros, this trajectory is not only expected to break records, but also reduce the environmental impact by reducing dependence on calcium carbonate mining.

So far, the Paris 2024 track has set one Olympic record and two world records, including in the men's 4\times 400 and 10,000 meter mixed relay competitions. It is hoped that more records will be broken on this innovative trajectory.
