Canada Withdraws Its Diplomat Children From Israel In The Aftermath Of Iran's Counterattack
JAKARTA - The Canadian government has decided to withdraw children from its diplomats out of Israel amid fears of an Iranian retaliatory attack on the assassination of political leader Hamas Ismail Haniyeh.
The Canadian Press via Reuter on Thursday, August 8, reported that the escalation of the Israeli conflict with Iran-Hezzbollah had sparked the potential for widespread tensions in the already heated region as the Israeli attack on Gaza killed tens of thousands of people to the humanitarian crisis, including hunger.
According to Global Affairs Canada, the temporary relocation of diplomat children from Israel to a safe country has been approved and will be carried out soon.
On Saturday 3 August, Canada had warned its citizens to avoid all trips to Israel. For reasons, regional conflicts and security situations are unpredictable in the Middle East.
However, the Canadian Embassy in Tel Aviv and Beirut as well as the representative offices of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank remain fully operational providing services.
