Chairman Of The Indigenous Tribes Throughout Indonesia Escorts The XIV South Kalimantan Porwanas

JAKARTA The National Inter-Suku Family Association (Ikasba) of South Kalimantan expressed its full support for the implementation of the XIV Porwanas which will be held on August 20-26, 2024 in Banjarmasin.

This support was conveyed by the Chairman of Ikasba, South Kalimantan, Aliansyah Mahadi, during a gathering with the South Kalimantan PWI management in the PWI South Kalimantan hall on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Aliansyah Mahadi explained that Ikasba strongly supports the Porwanas event and hopes that this event can run smoothly.

"We really appreciate the role of PWI South Kalimantan which involved Ikasba in the success of Porwanas," he said.

According to Aliansyah, for the success of Porwanas which will be attended by thousands of journalists from all over Indonesia, Ikasba will deploy its members to welcome and host the PWI extended family who come to South Kalimantan.

"Kalsel is a miniature of the archipelago with various ethnicities and cultures. We want to establish a relationship with our brothers and sisters who will be present in Porwanas later," he said.

The chairman of the South Kalimantan PWI, Zainal Helmie, enthusiastically welcomed the support from Ikasba. He considered that Ikasba's role was very important to ensure the smoothness and success of Porwanas XIV.

"We want South Kalimantan to be a good host for the Porwanas contingent," he said.

As a symbol of support, the Chairman of PWI South Kalimantan handed over the mascot and merchandise T-shirt of Porwanas XIV to the Chairman of Ikasba, South Kalimantan.

Representatives of the Ikasba management who attended this event included various tribes, including Banjar, Dayak, Betawi, Madura, Java, Arabia, Chinese, Bonabulu, Papua, and the South Sulawesi Family Harmony.
