Young Indonesian Player Ronaldo Kwateh Officially Joins Thai Club Muangthong United
JAKARTA - Indonesia's young player, Ronaldo Kwateh, started a new adventure in his football career by navigating the Thai League. Kwateh officially joined the Thai League club, Muangthong United.
The announcement of Kwateh's joining took place at the same time as the launch of the Muangthong United team on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, local time. At his new club, the 19-year-old was given the number 99 jersey.
"Muangthong United, four times the Thai League champion, announced Ronaldo Kwateh's latest foreign player. The future winger of the Indonesian national team has officially joined the 2024/2025 squad," wrote BallThai, quoted on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Ronaldo Kwateh was recruited by Muangthong United to fill the quota of foreign Southeast Asian players. Young age is one of his advantages as a potential player.
Reducing in the Thai League is a new experience for Kwateh. Previously, he had tried out his experience at the Turkish club, Bodrumspor, although he did not record any minutes of competing.

Although the previous experience was not too sweet, Kwateh did not give up on returning to his journey as an abroad player.
Last season, Kwateh was in Madura United's uniform in Liga 1. He made eight appearances with one goal and one assist.
On the one hand, having a career in the Thai League will be a challenge for Kwateh. You see, Muangthong United is a club that competes at the top of the White Elephant Country football competition.
The club, based at Thunder Dome Stadium, finished fifth in the calculus last season with 52 points. In detail, Muangthong United made 16 wins, four draws, and 10 defeats.
If played regularly, it is not impossible that Ronaldo Kwateh will meet directly on the field against fellow Indonesian players, namely Asnawi Mangkualam.
Asnawi has already had a career in the Thai League with Port FC since last season.
