Police: Family Rejects Autopsy Of Child's Body Slammed By Biological Mother
JAKARTA - The police plan to conduct an autopsy on AK's body, the one-year-old child who died, allegedly due to being slammed by his biological mother, YT. However, the plan was rejected by the family.
"Information from investigators, the family refused to do an autopsy," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Thursday, August 8.
It was not conveyed in detail the reason the family rejected the investigator's plan to autopsize AK's body.
It was only conveyed that the reason for the rejection was conveyed by the family through a letter sent to investigators.
"Then it was explained the rejection in the statement letter from the family," he said.
Meanwhile, for handling YT, continued Ade, the 35-year-old woman will be referred to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.
Investigators will ask the medical team to conduct psychiatric examinations or mental health.
The examination was carried out to determine whether YT really experienced mental health. Because, based on family information, the 35-year-old mother is said to have a history of psychological disorders.
"The reported sister TY was referred to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for psychiatric treatment and examination, namely mental health examination," said Ade.
TY is known to have slammed his eldest child several times to the floor at his home in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, on Sunday, August 4.
The year-old child was rushed to the hospital after being slammed by his mother. It's just that, a day later, the son of YT died.
