PDIP Admits Intens Communicates With KIM Plus For The 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah stated that his party remains intensely communicating with parties in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) ahead of the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. According to Said, this communication aims to achieve consensus, not transactional.

"If the theory, maybe yes, maybe not, maybe they will join KIM plus," said Said at the DPR building, parliament complex, Senayan, Wednesday 7 August.

Kim plus refers to political parties (parpol) that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition that carries Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election plus political parties outside the coalition.

Said admits that he and the PDIP elite often meet with KIM's party elites, such as Golkar Party Chair Airlangga Hartarto, PAN Chairperson Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), DPP Daily Chairperson of Gerindra Party Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar. According to Said, communication with KIM Plus is a necessity in building politics.

"We and Mr. Airlangga call, sometimes meet. With Bang Zul we come, with Gus Imin we come, to Pak Dasco we come. This makes our life comfortable. The deliberation is done with wisdom and wisdom, not transactional, "explained Said.

Said added, KIM Plus has not yet decided to be the cawagub of Ridwan Kamil's companions in the 2024 Jakarta Pilgub. It opens a communication space to fill each other.

"‘The problem is that KIM plus has also not narrowed down to a name, except for the first figure (governor). The second figure (prospective cawagub) does not yet exist. Give us, political parties, the opportunity to continue to communicate across parties." said Said.

Nevertheless, Said acknowledged that PDIP still respects the independence of each political party in determining its position in the 2024 Pilkada, including the Jakarta gubernatorial election. However, this does not hinder intense communication between political parties, including KIM Plus.

"Each party has its own autonomy and sovereignty, but interactions between parties continue," concluded Said.
