Bank Muamalat Prepares Financing IDR 2 Trillion For PP Muhammadiyah
JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk has established strategic cooperation with the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (PP).
Director of Bank Muamalat Karno said that his party would prepare fresh funds of IDR 2 trillion to Muhammadiyah which would be used to develop Muhammadiyah Charity (AUM) such as hospitals, universities, Islamic boarding schools and mosques. Karno also mentioned that there are two scopes of cooperation that will be carried out by Bank Muamalat and PP Muhammadiyah. The first is the utilization of services, services and programs of CSR Bank Muamalat for the development of branches, branches and mosques managed by Muhammadiyah. The second is the collaboration of the program between Bank Muamalat and the national zakat institution belonging to Muhammadiyah, Lazismu. For us, Muhammadiyah is the main and strategic partner that always supports Bank Muamalat by remaining loyal customers. God willing, collaboration with Muhammadiyah will be even closer and wider in the future, "he said, Thursday, August 8.
Karno continued, one of the main aspects of the memorandum of understanding was support for mosque administrators in understanding and using Islamic banking services.
"Bank Muamalat will provide a special application for mosques that can assist administrators in the digitalization process of mosque financial management," he continued.
The implementation of the Standard Indonesia Code Quick Response (QRIS) in Muhammadiyah mosques will also be carried out to facilitate financial transactions, such as payment of donations and Zakat, Infaq, Shodaqah and Waqf (Ziswaf) digitally.
With the storage and fund management services obtained, it is hoped that these funds can be utilized more effectively and efficiently for the benefit of the people.
In addition, other aspects of cooperation are the management of finance and the Hajj aggregator program. In this case, Bank Muamalat will socialize and manage the finances related to Hajj in Muhammadiyah.
As for the cooperation with Lazismu, both parties will collaborate in terms of Islamic financial services, distribution of ziswaf, humanitarian donations, distribution of the proceeds of sacrifices and resipulation of marketing.
Previously, Bank Muamalat had collaborated with a number of Muhammadiyah regional administrators in Sumatra which included business cooperation, socio-religious cooperation to financial literacy. In addition, Bank Muamalat also facilitated the simultaneous opening of accounts for business charities, autonomous organizations and hundreds of Muhammadiyah residents in the city of Serang, Banten recently.
Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive Haedar Nashir welcomed the cooperation that had been established so far between Bank Muamalat and PP Muhammadiyah. Regarding banking cooperation, Haedar emphasized that the prototype of Muhammadiyah in collaborating with banks, the first is Amanah. Second, affordable and having mutual agreements, and the third is easy. So that there are no difficulties in running the Muhammadiyah program and also productive.
