Google Chrome Improves Highlight Capability In This Page Listening Feature

JAKARTA Not long ago, Google Chrome launched the Listen This Page feature on Android devices. This feature will read the contents of the web page so users only need to listen to the audio. This feature can be controlled if the bottom of the bar is tapped. Users can skip or speed up the audio for ten seconds, adjust the audio speed, or change the sound type. During the audio play, the spoken word will be highlighted. Chrome update found by the Leopeva64 account on the X platform, quoted from Android Police, reveals that this highlight feature or highlight will get a very useful update in accelerating audio playback. This new function is called Tap to Search. When Listening to This Page is being turned on, users can see the highlight running and being adjusted to audio. Users can ignore such highlight and click any text.

When the text is clicked, the audio will immediately move to the section of the text. This text denotation applies to the title and content of the article being read. The Tap to Search Function does not apply to text in the form of a link. This feature upgrade has been seen since July 30 in the application changelog for Android devices. This feature has not been released in the stable version so users need to wait until its feature is released in the Canary Version of Chrome. So far, the tap to Search feature has not been visible on Chrome for iOS devices. If this feature is already available on Chrome, users can only use its features when viewing English language articles because the Highlights and Auto Scroll features do not support the whole language.
