KPK Summons The Chairman Of The North Maluku DPRD And 7 Other People In The Abdul Gani Kasuba Case Today
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned eight witnesses regarding the alleged corruption and money laundering of former North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba today, Wednesday, August 7. One of them is the Chairman of the North Maluku Provincial DPRD Kuntu Daud
"The examination was carried out at the Red and White KPK Building," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, August 7.
Tessa has not detailed the matter of the examination. However, the witnesses being examined are believed to know the presumptuous practices that are being handled.
The other witnesses who were also questioned by investigators were Dede Sobari (DS) as a member of the Indonesian Army as well as an aide to Abdul Gani Kasuba; Olivia Bachmid (OB) who is a private party or the wife of the suspect Muhaimin Syarif; and Zainuddin Sangaji (ZS) who is an employee of PT Mineral Trobos.
Then Sigit Litan (SL) alias Acam who is the Director of PT Modern Raya Indah Pratama; Director of PT Mineral Jaya Molagina, Lauritzke Mantulameten (LM); Head of the Legal Division Department of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Pudyo Bayu Hartawan (PBH); and Khoirul Huda S. Riyadi (KHSR) who is the Group Head of AML/APU PPT Group PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia, Tbk.
The KPK has named the inactive North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba as a suspect in the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU). He is suspected of washing up to Rp100 billion.
The determination of this suspect was carried out as the development of the alleged bribery of goods and services procurement projects as well as the granting of permits within the North Maluku Provincial Government. He has been detained along with five other suspects since December 20 after being caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT).

In addition, the KPK named Abdul Gani Kasuba's confidant, Muhaimin Syarif, who is the former chairman of the North Maluku Gerindra Party DPD as a suspect. He is suspected of bribing former North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba in the amount of IDR 7 billion for the management of the Production Operation IUP to the proposed determination of the mining business permit (WIUP) area to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Then this gift is also related to projects within the North Maluku Provincial Government. The bribe was given by Muhaimin Syarif directly to Abdul Gani or through aides and through banking transactions.
