GWM Books 178 SPKs In Second Participation At GIIAS And 300 HEV Tanks To Win Prestigious Awards

JAKARTA - The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) has ended and a number of manufacturers have succeeded in using it by introducing new products to the public. One of the manufacturers that stole the show was Great Wall Motor (GWM).

During the 11-day event, the Chinese manufacturer recorded sales of 178 Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK), which was the best achievement since its debut in Indonesia last year.

General Manager of GWM Indonesia, Constantinus Herlijoso, revealed that this result proves public confidence in their products and hopes to continue to meet mobility needs in Indonesia.

"With the great enthusiasm we have received throughout GIIAS, we are confident that the latest innovations and technologies that we present will be able to meet the mobility needs of the Indonesian people," said Herlijoso in his official statement, Wednesday, August 7.

In addition to impressive sales, GWM also won a prestigious award for one of its products, Tank 300 HEV, which was named the best Passenger Car SUV at the GIIAS 2024 event.

The 300 HEV tank stands out with its relieved dimension, has a length of 4,760 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, and a height of 1,903 mm. The manufacturer claims the car is capable of beating the incline with a slope of up to 35 degrees.

This car comes with various interesting features, such as a tough front bumper, side step, longitudinal rack roof, retro-designed LED lights, LED fog brightening, and a large sub-brand Tank logo in the grip.

For off-road performance, 300 HEV Tanks are equipped with differential locks at the front and rear, Turn Tanks, and Crawl Control which make it easier for this car to pass various obstacles.

Not only tough and luxurious, 300 HEV Tanks are also equipped with advanced technologies such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), Intelligent Cruise Assist (ICA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).

The resilience of this car can also be seen from the 2.0 liter turbocharged HEV engine, which is coupled with the transmission of nine Hydraulic Automatic Transmission accelerations, resulting in 342 dk of power and 648 Nm of torque.

Launched in GIIAS 2024, the SUV is priced at around Rp. 833.8 million and will be delivered to customers by the end of September.
