AXEAN Festival In Bali Invites Music Lovers To Find New Favorite Musicians

JAKARTA - This year's AXEAN festival cross-country event will be held in Bali. The festival will last for two days at the Jimbaran Hub, Badung on September 28 and 29.

The festival is designed for musicians in Southeast Asia to expand the influence of their music. They will meet many players in the world music industry.

However, the AXEAN Festival is also intended for connoisseurs to add to their music treasury. Line-up dominated by Southeast Asia is a musician and group that is not yet well known but has interesting works to know.

"I hope those who come to watch can find their new favorite group at the AXEAN Festival," said Piyapong Muenprasertdee as co-founder and leader of the AXEAN Festival team, during a press conference in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, August 6.

So far, there are more than 40 performers from 14 countries who have certainly joined. The five performers from Indonesia who will appear are Batavia Collective, Dialogue Early Days, Scandal, Grrrl Gang, lightcraft, Scandal, and Milledenials.

Meanwhile, from Singapore there are Josh Makazo, Linying, Rangga Jones, and San & The Workshop. Then, from Cambodia there are M-Fatt, Norith & airing Hai, RuthKo, and Vanthan.

Furthermore, from Thailand there are Common People Like You, Gabe Watkins, LUST, mindfreakkk, and VVAS. Meanwhile, from the Philippines there are birds., crop, Makak, Munimuni, and Muri.

Other musicians who also attended were At Adau (Malaysia), COTERIE (Australia), Funkindustry (France), HARIKUYAMAKU (Japan), Imdifficult (Taiwan), Puman (Chingkok), The Dinosaurs's Skin (Taiwan), The Hertz (Hong Kong), Tuimi (Vietnam), and Uudee's Swashbuckling Dandies (Mongolia).

Satria Ramadhan as co-founder of the AXEAN Festival also has other hopes. He hopes that foreign performers who will appear will get a new market in Indonesia.

"In addition, the hope is for bands from abroad (neighbourhood) who play in AXEAN, in the future they can play at other music festivals in Indonesia. So that the music festival here is also more colorful," concluded Satria.
