However, as the chairman of PSSI, Erick did not waste this opportunity to discuss football between the two countries.
He revealed that PSSI and the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) would collaborate.
"We also inform the collaboration plan between PSSI and the Dutch Royal Football Association (KNVB)," said Erick Thohir.
One of the collaboration plans that PSSI and KNVB will carry out is to hold a trial match. Not only at the senior level, the trial between the Indonesian national team against the Dutch will be held in all age groups.
"The Indonesian national team and the Dutch national team will create a friendly match program at all ages, both men and women," he said.
This news is certainly a breath of fresh air for Indonesian football, which can again experience trying out their abilities with more prestigious opponents.
The reason is, the last time the Indonesian national team met the Dutch was in 2013. At that time, the match was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) which was won by De Oranje, who was coached by Louis van Gaal with a landslide score of 3-0.
