Completed Examined, Head Of BP2MI Benny Rhamdani Calls Bareskrim Asking 64 Questions

JAKARTA - Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani has finished undergoing further investigations regarding the figure of T at Bareskrim Polri.

The examination of Benny lasted for approximately 8 hours, starting at around 12.12 WIB to 20.17 WIB. In the process, investigators are said to have asked 64 questions.

"(The number of questions) is 64. Regarding the material, it will be related to the material to the investigators," said Benny to reporters, Monday, August 5.

After undergoing the examination, Benny was reluctant to comment much, including regarding the figure of T. Because, when questioned about this, he repeatedly asked the police to ask questions directly.

"Regarding the material, it was submitted to investigators," he said.

In fact, when asked about President Joko Widodo or Jokowi's statement that he did not know the figure of T, Benny argued that his capacity was not to comment on this matter.

In fact, when referring to his statement in his speech, Benny said that Jokowi was shocked when he heard the figure of T.

"I am not in a position to comment on Pak Jokowi's comments," said Benny.

During the previous examination process, Benny was asked about 22 questions by investigators.

At that time, Benny claimed to have explained that the figure with the initials T was not the controller of online gambling but the mastermind behind the criminal case of trafficking in persons or TIP.

"My speech and what was conveyed in an internal meeting or limited meeting at the palace was about preventing criminal acts of trafficking in persons," said Benny.

"So when it comes to the Cambodian issue, it has something to do with where our illegally dispatched workers are employed in the online gambling business and online scamming," he continued.
