KPK Calls The State Potentially Loss Rp1.27 Trillion Due To Acquisition Of PT Jembatan Nusantara By ASDP
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Ferry Indonesia (Persero) has the potential to harm state finances. The value is said to have reached trillions of rupiah.
"The potential loss to the country is around Rp1.27 trillion at least (in the corruption case of the business cooperation and acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry 2019-2022, ed)," said KPK Spokesperson Tessa Mahardika to VOI, Monday, August 5 evening.
Tessa said this number might change. Because, the tally is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, a VOI source said this state loss arose because the acquisition process for PT Jembatan Nusantara did not comply with the regulations. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.
This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," said the source.
"So all acquisition rules are violated," is still quoted from the same source.
